This 1927 brick Tudor, with windows surrounded by contrasting sandstone, copper gutters and a slate-tiled roof for Santa to land on, is ready for its Christmas close-up. Framed by holiday greenery, a large wreath adorns the front door. Original flooring, paneled walls and a golden tree greet guests in the unique foyer.

The garland-swagged banister leads upstairs, where glass doors reveal what was originally the servant’s quarters, indicated by the step down from the main floor.

The blue and yellow granddaughter’s bedroom contains sweet childhood memories. A white and blue tree, a child’s rocker filled with Happy Meal moose toys, and a family heirloom bear keep watch alongside snowmen and lyrics adorning the walls. Christmas touches add seasonal charm to the tile-floored bathroom.

A blue and gold wonderland awaits in the dressing room, complete with mirrored and fabric-covered walls. A matching vanity and chair lead to the closet, where vintage naughty and nice elves taunt the elegantly 1920s-dressed mannequin.

The upstairs hallway delights with original flooring, eight-panel doors and delicate sconces leading to a room filled with special holiday guests. Gnomes abound on the mid-century dresser, and a colorful tree sheds light on reindeer frolicking among Christmas pillows.

Serenity awaits in the owner’s suite, which features a cathedral ceiling buttressed by decorative arches and medallion-framed, stained-glass inserts on each side wall. Crystal chandeliers shimmer and a slim white tree illuminates a corner with red ornaments. The custom mantel is accented with filigree, and its columns are draped with greenery. Lanterns sparkle alongside stockings hung with care.

Through the looking glass door hides a jolly fellow trying to find peace during the holiday season. He’s enjoying drinks in the beautifully tiled shower with a matching medallion design. Baubles in the sinks sparkle under a delicate chandelier.

A subdued tapestry hangs in the stairwell descending to the foyer. Note the paneled walls with intricate filigree work above the pillared entryway and a pediment-topped arch leading to the living room on the main level of this century home.

Happy snowmen and reindeer on the console table welcome guests to the festivities. Built-in bookshelves, sprinkled with Christmas treasures, frame the entryway. A fire crackles under the mantel, which is festooned with holiday greenery and Santa holding court. A large tree, bedecked in red and silver, shines by the window, and baubles frame the view of the side porch.

Another arch leads to the dining table set for a Christmas feast. This room features hidden radiator panels and intricate gold trim around the ceiling. Greenery and ornaments decorate the original chandelier, and thin trees add festive touches to the buffet.

The lovingly updated kitchen is the heart of this home. Among greenery and lights, Santa oversees the bar area of the counter. Storage alcoves house shining silver collections amid festive lighting. The exposed brick wall adds to the Olde World ambiance. A century ice chest has been transformed into a beverage center. Red glass Christmas trees sparkle, holiday plates adorn shelves, and ornaments line the windowsills. Integrated storage is hidden all around – watch as the pantry shelves magically appear!

A step down into the family room, which was once the home’s garage, reveals a relaxing space to unwind. A 120-year-old rolltop desk that once belonged to a family member who served as a common pleas judge in Washington County, Ohio, hosts family memorabilia, Christmas heirlooms and a one-of-a-kind journal made especially for the homeowner by artist David Diaz. A vintage Santa relaxes in the antique rocking chair. The built-in bookcase houses snowmen and a lit Christmas village. A natural-looking tree features family ornaments, including some from a visit to Prague. Santas collected over the years highlight the spirit of Christmas. Cozy throws, pillows and festive greenery add to the holiday atmosphere.

Downstairs, we find many projects awaiting completion in Mrs. Claus’ workroom. A trio of works by David Diaz, a Caldecott Award-winning artist, are a special addition to her space and contribute to the feeling of wonder. Check out that to-do list – hope she finds Santa!

The leaded glass back door opens to an arbor with a chandelier above and a lit wreath surrounded by snowflakes. Don’t miss the deer grazing beside a bench made from Cincinnati Reds stadium seats, a beautiful outdoor kitchen, and a unique glass window made from recycled materials by local artist Lou Camerato. What a lovely end to a Tudor Sunset Christmas!
